After nearly a year of meticulous and rigorous construction, all 18 primary schools are close to completion.

At the event site, Samsung donated grants to the Youth Foundation for students in poverty and hope primary schools, and donated teaching and learning supplies to the schools’ teachers and students.
At the event site, Samsung announced that it will support more than 1,000 pupils from poor families in 18 Samsung Hope Primary Schools for two consecutive years through the Youth Foundation of China, according to the standard of 1,000 yuan per person per year, to help local children receive fair and quality education in an all-round way.
Deuk-Kyu Hwang, CHINA SAMSUNG president, said that at this critical moment of poverty alleviation, the importance of talents in future rural revitalization is highlighted. Education takes the lead in shaking off poverty and tackling difficulties.
“To speed up the development of poor areas and change the fate of children, we must start with supporting education and poverty alleviation and training excellent talents,” Hwang said.
In 2004, Samsung China set up the "Samsung Hope Project Fund" with the China Youth Development Foundation. Over the past 15 years, Samsung has contributed more than 260 million yuan. It has assisted 168 Samsung Hope Primary Schools in 28 provinces (regions and municipalities) throughout the country, demonstrating that it is a compassionate enterprise with a long history of generosity.
