China has established its first international cooperation platform of security and emergency response in Beijing.

It will focus on preventing natural disasters and safeguarding national public safety, as well as better protect people's lives and property.

Formed by China Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) of the Ministry of Commerce, German Industry and Commerce's Beijing Branch and Kuntin Investment and Management Group Stock Co, the platform has set up several projects in Chengdu China-Europe Emergency Industrial Park in Sichuan province to build supporting facilities and equipment.

Liu Dianxun, director-general of CIPA, said this is the third cross-border industrial cooperation entity platform following the Sino-German automobile industry cross border platform and the global cultural and creative industry cross border platform promoted by the Ministry of Commerce and global partners.

"It is practical to further promote the cooperation between China's security emergency industries and foreign players," he said, adding the platform will improve the industrial structure and stimulate market vitality in security and emergency sector across China.

The platform will serve as a unified organization and platform carrier for the above-mentioned enterprises to China, and meet the needs of investment cooperation, said Jens Hildebrandt, chief representative of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Beijing.

Qiu Ming, chairman of Kuntin Group, said in addition to investing in Chengdu China-Europe Emergency Industrial Park to generate new growth points, the group also plans to invest in the construction of a number of security emergency theme parks and industrial bases in key Chinese cities over the next five years.
