The Indonesian Bangtang LNG tank wharf project will greatly alleviate the pressure on natural gas supply for island residents in the northeastern part of Indonesia.
The two projects have great impact on promoting the local economy and improving people's well-being.
In recent years, CNCEC has set up more than 120 branches in the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and provided a large number of quality engineering services, mainly in Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, and Turkey.
Wu believes that overseas construction projects should follow the golden principles of consultation, contribution and shared benefits.
"Different countries have different customs and religious beliefs. To complete our construction projects, we have to understand the local cultures, show our strength and strengthen communication with local employees and residents. Many foreign employees can even speak Sichuan dialect and make dumplings now!" he said.
"On the one hand, we must ensure that State-owned assets are not lost, on the other hand, we should be a model to serve our foreign policy. With the support of more and better policies, we will continue to make technological innovations and play our role in the future, "Wu added.
Since 2013, CNCEC has signed contracts worth more than $30 billion with the countries involved in BRI. There are more than 200 projects under construction, and more than 28,000 overseas people are working at project-related jobs.
