Gansu scenes on display in Germany


A photography and painting exhibition titled Symphony Silk Road, Desirable Gansu went on display in Berlin on Monday.
Representatives of Chinese and German government departments, businesspeople from transnational organizations, academicians, experts and media representatives from both China and Germany attended the opening ceremony.
The exhibition, hosted by the Gansu People's Government Information Office and China Daily Europe, co-organized with China Event, features nearly 100 stunning photographs and paintings showcasing the natural scenery and culture of Gansu, which represents a unique style of Northwest China.
Among the attendees were Counsellor of Gansu People's Government Information Office Kang Qing, Minister Counsellor for Culture at the Chinese embassy in Berlin Chen Ping, and former secretary general of the Conference of Ministers for Culture, scholar of Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin Erich Thies.
