Langfang kicks off hot spring festival

Hebei province's Langfang has launched a hot spring festival on Dec 28.

The city's eight major hot spring scenic spots and hotels would offer discounts down to 20 percent during the festival, which would last till March 28, 2019.

Langfang has a natural hot spring belt that covers an area of more than 240 square kilometers, and local authority is planning to take advantage of the geological proximity with Beijing to woo the capital residents to enjoy its hot springs.

At the moment, local authority has signed agreements with major travel agencies, such as Ctrip, Tuniu and Lvmama.

Visitors could book trips that integrate hot spring and local historical sites and gourmet food.
