The panda is China's national treasure and its international name card. Adored by all for its chubby and lovely image, the panda has long been China’s emissary for friendship, contributing to friendly ties with other countries.
The mascot wears a blue-yellow scarf embroidered with the CIIE logo. Yellow stands for the Silk Road Economic Belt, while blue represents the 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road. In addition, the four-leaf clover it holds in its hand represents the National Exhibition Center in Shanghai, where the expo is to be held, while also being a well-known international symbol of good luck.
