Dozens hurt after floor collapses at South Carolina apartment party

WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 -- Some 30 people were hurt when a floor collapsed early Sunday during a party at an apartment in Clemson, in the US state of South Carolina, according to reports.

A video posted on social media shows a large part of a floor on the first level of the building caving in as partygoers were dancing, causing dozens to fall through to the basement.

The Clemson City Police Department said they received a call at around noon Sunday about the collapse of the floor at an apartment clubhouse.

Officers arrived to find multiple people hurt.

Police said no individuals were trapped during the collapse and it's unclear if anyone suffered life-threatening injuries.
