Bolton says US leaving optional protocol to Vienna Convention

WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 -- US National Security Adviser John Bolton said here on Wednesday that the United States is withdrawing from the optional protocol for dispute resolution to the Vienna Convention.

He said that the decision relates to a case brought by the Palestinians to challenge US moving of its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Bolton also said that Iran is not dismantling its nuclear program; rather, it is reportedly increasing it.
