Babianwei maple leaves in Benxi have turned a brilliant red, marking the opening of the maple season in Liaoning. Benxi is known as the first place in autumn to appreciate maple leaves in Northeast China's Liaoning province. Now is the best time to view them, from late September to mid-October. There are more than 10 scenic spots that offer the best places to photograph their beauty, such as Guanmen Mountain, Dashi Lake and Fenglin Valley.[Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
