Xi’an Division of IFLYTEK Launched last Weekend

IFLYTEK CO., LTD, headquartered in Anhui province, launched a division in Xi’an, Shaanxi province last weekend aiming to further develop its research on intelligent voice and language technology, software and chip product development, voice information services and e-government systems in northwest China.

Located in the Xi'an High-tech Industrial Development Zone, IFLYTEK Xi’an division signed three agreements on the development of smart education, smart health care and smart police with the Xi'an municipal government at the launch ceremony.
Liu Qingfeng, chairman of IFLYTEK CO., LTD, told China Daily that Xi'an has abundant scientific and technological talent resources, and a sound atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship. The city has also issued a set of policies to support the development of enterprises like Iflytek.
"We will take this opportunity to further develop this industry and promote our scientific research, meanwhile making joint efforts with Xi'an to create a demonstration city of artificial intelligence,” said Liu.
Liu added that IFLYTEK Xi’an Institute of Artificial Intelligence would actively promote technical cooperation with local scientific research institutions and universities, set up joint laboratories to tackle key scientific and technological problems and promote the industrial transformation of technological achievements of universities and research institutes to meet market demands.
Furthermore, the Entrepreneurial and Innovation Base for artificial intelligence is expected to drive enthusiasm for artificial intelligence entrepreneurship in Xi’an, accelerate the transformation and application of core technology, and upgrade Xi’an’s traditional industries through artificial intelligence transformation.
