City wall marathon to kick off in Nanjing

A marathon that brings participants closer to Nanjing’s city wall of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) will be held on September 16.
Local government is aiming to rely on the marathon to promote local culture and tourism to the public.
Participants would be able to enjoy Qinhuai river, celebrity residence, local food and traditional handcrafts in the interim.
In addition to the marathon, five running routes featuring local gardens, intangible heritages, natural landscapes would be developed for participants to better savor the city.
