Camp for innovative young makers held in Xi’an

The first Youth Intelligent Creation Camp ended with a battalion ceremony held on Aug 24 at the Xi’an Innovation and Design Center in Northwest China’s Shaanxi province.

The activity was intended to promote innovative thinking and cutting-edge scientific methods to young students and provide a platform where they could gain a sense of future science and technology.
The organizers of the event wished that more parents and social organizations would participate in and support the education and training of innovative designers to create a good environment for future creative Chinese production.
At the opening ceremony, Chen Xiaoling, deputy director of the Beilin Surround-University Innovation Industry Belt Management Committee, said campers would gain knowledge and friendship.

Ren Guoliang, executive vice president of the Shaanxi Institute of Mechanical Engineering, said he hoped the students joining the camp would consolidate their learning achievements and contribute to China's manufacturing, and urged their parents to support their children's growth.
“We hope that more parents will guide their children in life, so that they will follow a growth path in the future and be clearly positioned for Made in China 2025,” Ren stressed.
After two weeks of professional guidance and training, five exquisite works were created by 17 high school students using high-end five-axis CNC machine tools.

Guo Ziqi, a student at Xi’an High-tech No. 1 High School, said that she and other campers had learned about high-end manufacturing through the training and the coaches' careful guidance.
The event was sponsored by the Silk Road Innovation and Design Strategic Industry Alliance, the Beilin Surround-University Innovation Industry Belt Management Committee, the Shaanxi Mechanical Engineering Society NC Automation Branch, the Xi'an Design Federation, Shaanxi Huatuo Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and Xi'an Chaodong Information Technology Co., Ltd.
