Black face festival celebrated in Yunnan

A black face festival kicked off in Qiubei county, Yunnan province, on Wednesday. It's a traditional festival for Yi ethnic minority during which people spread soot from the bottom of the pot on their faces to drive away ghosts and disasters. It has a history of more than 1,000 years.
