2 injured in shooting at Turkish elementary school

ISTANBUL - A parent who is a police officer shot a school principal and a deputy principal at an elementary school in Turkey's northwestern province of Bursa on Wednesday, according to local media.
Following the shooting, the officer surrendered to security forces, while the two injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, Turkish Dogan News Agency said.
The cause of the incident was not immediately clear, but Dogan said the officer argued with the two officials at Kadir Cavusoglu Elementary School before shooting at them.
Police have launched an investigation into the shooting, press reports said.
The episode came a week after a researcher shot dead four at Eskisehir Osmangazi University in northwestern Turkey.
