Top 10 fastest-growing retailers in the world

China's online shopping platforms Vipshop and JD came in first and third on a list of the 50 fastest-growing retailers in the world, Deloitte said, based on compound annual revenue growth over the five-year period of fiscal year 2011 (ending June 2012) to fiscal year 2016 (ending June 2017).

According to Deloitte, Vipshop's revenue increased 30.9 percent in fiscal year 2016, and JD recorded rapid revenue growth of 41.7 percent.

During past five fiscal years, the 50 fastest-growing retailers recorded a 20.9 percent composite compound annual growth rate.

In addition, China's Yonghui Superstores Co Ltd also made the list.
