New management team for People's Bank of China

The People's Bank of China announced the latest leadership adjustment on its official website on Monday. Let's take a look at the new management team for the central bank.

Yi Gang, governor of the People's Bank of China and Party deputy chief of the central bank

Yi joined the People's Bank of China in 1997 and became vice-governor of the central bank in December 2007. He was elected by the country's top legislature last week to take the helm at the central bank. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hamline University and a PhD in economics from the University of Illinois.
