The Hot Club of Beijing performs for Jazz fans


The Hot Club of Beijing, a leading Jazz band based in China, presented a grand evening to local audience on Dec 11, bringing audience to the 1930s and 40s with their grand performance. The event was sponsored by UBS, a key sponsor of Beijing Music Festival for 14 years. Eugene Qian, chairman of UBS China Strategy Board, said: “The company, a long-term partner with the Beijing Music Festival, has been committed to providing top-notch music performance to China.”
The Hot Club of Beijing, was voted and awarded twice in a row Best Beijing Band by City Weekend in 2012 and 2013.
In October, UBS sponsored The King’s Singers, special concert featuring the world-renowned British vocal ensemble, during the Beijing Music Festival. The company also invited students chorus of the Beijing Shunyi District 13th Middle School to sing with the Jazz band on last Monday and with The King’s Singers at their rehearsal in October. UBS has been providing many such opportunities to the young students to learn from popular musicians, as part of its commitment in corporate social responsibility.
