Top 10 highest energy-consuming regions in the world

The latest industry report by energy giant BP has revealed China and the US remain the world's top two energy-consuming countries.
According to the report, titled BP Statistics of World Energy 2017, China also dominates renewable growth, contributing to more than 40 percent of global growth in 2016 – more than the entire OECD – and surpasses the US to become the largest producer of renewable power.
The report ranks regions by primary energy consumption as well, which comprises commercially-trade fuels, as well as modern renewable energy used to generate electricity.
