Buddha and the living tree: Officials build scaffolding around an ancient Chinese pistache tree they are trying to save at the site of the Leshan Giant Buddha in Southwest China's Sichuan province on March 2. The tree, 287 years old, has been attacked by pests and is in danger of falling down.
