Turandot, Budapest
Italian composer Giacomo Puccini's masterpiece Turandot tells a legendary Chinese story that took place in the Yuan Dynasty. Replete with choruses and pageantry, the opera is about the power of love and will be performed by the Hungarian State Opera.

Chinese singer Tan Jing, London
She will perform with Swedish pianist Robert Wells at the invitation of the International Olympic Committee. Tan performed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Games, and Well's compositions were selected as the official TV theme music.
