MOSCOW -- At least 14 bodies were found after a fire engulfed a plant near Moscow, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said Tuesday.

According to the ministry, four others were wounded in the fire. All the victims were citizens of Vietnam.

"At least 14 people died and four others were wounded. One was hospitalized with serious injuries and three others were given first aid on the spot," the ministry said, adding that all the victims were workers of a sewing workshop in Yegoryevsk, about 100 km southeast of Moscow.

Preliminary information showed that the fire broke out on the second floor of an industrial building, where the sewing workshop was located.

"The fire has already been put out," the ministry said.

A probe into the cause of the accident has been launched.

In April, at least 17 migrant workers were killed in a fire that engulfed a market in southern Moscow.
