Argentina: Plane with 22 on board missing

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Authorities say a commercial airplane with 22 people on board has disappeared in Argentina's southern Patagonia region.

Mabel Yahuar, mayor of the town of Los Menucos in Rio Negro province, says there have been reports of an explosion in the sky.

Yahuar told Channel C5N that he has no information of survivors or deaths. "We have sent fire fighters and ambulances to the spot."

Air carrier Sol said one of its planes with 22 people on board was missing in Rio Negro.
