Iran says GCC statement issued 'under US pressure'

TEHRAN - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Monday that the recent statement against Iran by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was issued under the pressure of the US government and its allies.

Policies of the current US government are more "scandalous and loathsome" than those of the previous governments, Ahmadinejad said, referring to the interference of the US and its allies in the internal affairs of the countries in Middle East region.
