President Yudhoyono attended breakfast with the military chiefs as part of the 8th ASEAN Chiefs of Defense Forces Informal Meeting from March 30 to April 1.

"The target of cooperation, leadership and security authority between military leaders of ASEAN countries is very beneficial, for example in the arrest of terrorist leaders," the spokesman was quoted by the Jakarta Post as saying.

Indonesian Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Djoko Suyanto, Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Indonesian Military Commander in Chief Adm. Agus Suhartono and National Police chief Gen. Timur Pradopo also attended the event.

Agreements and collective understanding would also make the extradition of terrorists easier, Julian said.
