According to local TV DAWN News, some unidentified militants used explosive materials to blow up a middle school in Darra Adam Khel area.

No causalities were reported in the blast as it took place early in the morning and there were no students in the school.

This is not the first time when militants blew up schools in northwestern Pakistan. According to official statistics 500 schools have been destroyed in militant attacks across Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas in recent years.

Earlier, on March 5 three government-run schools were blown up by the militants in northwest Pakistan.

Militants also blew up a bridge constructed by the British government in early 20th century during their rule on the subcontinent. No group has claimed responsibility for either of the incidents.
