Egypt sets Mar 19 date for referendum

CAIRO - A referendum on amendments to Egypt's constitution will take place on March 19, the Egyptian government said on its Facebook page, quoting the ruling Supreme Council for the Armed Forces.

"The process of the referendum on the proposed amendments to the constitution of the Arab Republic of Egypt will take place on March 19, 2011," a statement on the government's Facebook page said.
