According to the latest information, a dead body was found, several others were injured and three more people are missing in the plane accident at the Surgut Airport, a source in Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation) told reporters.

Earlier reports said a Tu-134 plane with 130 passengers on board exploded after the emergency landing.

Rosaviation said the plane was taxiing for taking off when it caught fire. There were 116 passengers and eight crew members aboard the plane.

Rescue teams tried to evacuate passengers and the crew swiftly.

"Some people suffered burns, and preliminary findings indicate that one person was killed. The plane burned away," Rosaviation was quoted by the Interfax news agency as saying.

The plane was bound for Moscow's Domodedovo airport.
