Fire reported at Moscow TV station

MOSCOW - A fire broke out Saturday in one of the studios of television station Ostankino here, the city's emergency service told media.

No casualties were reported so far but about 15 people had to be rescued, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.

According to preliminary information, the fire started in one of the studios on the fifth floor of the seven-story building.

Witness said thick black smoke could be seen from windows of the building at Akademik Korolyov Street.

Firefighters put out the fire quickly, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.
