SEOUL - The US-led United Nations Command (UNC) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Wednesday held another round of talks over the March sinking of a Republic of Korea warship, local media reported.

Previous six rounds of colonel-level talks, also aimed at preparing for a general-level meeting on the sinking, have failed to narrow their differences on the fatal sinking blamed on the DPRK, as Pyongyang insisted on its innocence.

As part of a trust-building measure, the command and the DPRK have held 16 general-level talks since 1998, and the latest round was held in March 2009.
