SEOUL - The leaders of South Korea and Gabon held a summit Monday on energy and infrastructure cooperation, South Korea's presidential office said.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba signed bilateral agreements on expanding energy and infrastructure ties and avoiding double taxation, according to Lee 's office Cheong Wa Dae.

Ondima is on a three-day visit to South Korea, his first visit to the country as the head of the African nation. The two countries forged formal diplomatic relations in 1962.
