The delegation's visit was aimed at consolidating the DPRK-China friendship, Yang said, adding the traditional friendship fostered by the older generation of revolutionaries of the two countries would be further strengthened.

He said the youths of the two countries should further enhance communication and cooperation to carry on the friendship from generation to generation.

The head of the 100-member delegation, Zhou Changkui, who is also Secretary of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League Secretariat, said the China-DPRK friendship is unbreakable.

The Chinese Communist Youth League will strengthen communication and cooperation with the Kim Il Sung Socialism Youth Union of the DPRK to assume the responsibility of developing the China-DPRK friendship, Zhou said.

The Chinese youth delegation arrived in Pyongyang last Monday for a week-long visit to the DPRK at the invitation of the Kim Il Sung Socialism Youth Union.
