Colombian police seize 467 kg of cocaine

BOGOTA - Colombian authorities have seized 467 kg of cocaine on a cargo ship from Mexico, police said Tuesday.

The drugs, worth about $25 million and bound for Valencia, Spain, were found in a beer container on the ship which carried a legal shipment of beer and made a stopover at Colombia's northwestern port of Cartagena.

The illegal shipment belongs to the Atlantic drug gang and was seized with the help of an informant.
