ULAN BATOR:Mongolian Parliament Speaker Demberel Damdin said Monday the government would distribute 324 billion MNT (224 million US dollars) raised from the country's mining sector to citizens in 2010.

Each citizen would receive 70 thousand MNT (48.4 dollars) starting from February, Damdin told reporters.

The parliament, or the State Great Khural, approved the payments on new year's eve.

Demberel said the government was working on how to distribute the money, adding that a civil registration system revision would coincide with the distribution.

When the international price of copper was stable, the benefit distribution program would accumulate money, Demberel said.
