BAGHDAD - Iraqi police say an airstrike by US helicopters on Baghdad's Sadr City district has killed four people and injured six.

Police say two of those killed in the strike late Wednesday night were brothers aged seven and nine.

The US military confirmed its forces fired two Hellfire missiles at gunmen who were firing at US troops. It said four of the attackers were killed.
