France's President Nicolas Sarkozy (front), former president Jacques Chirac (L, rear) and Prime Minister Francois Fillon (2nd L) pay tribute to the dead of World War One in a state funeral for Lazare Ponticelli, aged 110, its last surviving WWI veteran, at a ceremony at the Invalides in Paris March 17, 2008.
