A 15-year-old Danbury, Connecticut, student claimed he suffered a hearing damage after his teacher awakened him by making a loud noise and filed a lawsuit against Danbury officials, according to media reports Friday.
Vinicios Robacher was awakened in class when his teacher Melissa Nadeau slammed her hand down on the boy's desk on Dec. 4.
Robacher's attorney Alan Barry says that Robacher suffered pain and "very severe injuries to his left eardrum" since Nadeau abruptly slammed her hand on his desk.
Now the document filed with the Town Clerk is a prelude to a lawsuit. A city official says the matter has been referred to Danbury's insurance carrier.
