MEXICO CITY - Bolivia will be able to provide natural gas for Mexico in 2010, Bolivia's ambassador to Mexico Jorge Mansilla Torres said Friday.

Mansilla told Xinhua that in 2010, Bolivia will have sufficient ability to offer natural gas to Mexico, adding that recent discoveries of gas deposits amounted to at least 1,571 trillion cubic feet, including the Huacaya X-1 well in the Chuquisaca province, in southern Bolivia.

The Bolivian ambassador said investment in the country's gas industry for 2008 totaled 1.266 billion US dollars, which will allow it to produce at least 42 million cubic meters of natural gas.
