JAKARTA -- The health condition of the ailing former Indonesian President Soeharto worsened on Tuesday morning after it had signed improvement since Monday, a doctor said here.

The head of doctors team Mardjo Soebiandono told a press conference at the Pertamina hospital here, where the 86-year-old former president has been treated since Friday, that some treatments would be taken to improve the his condition.

"The health condition of Soeharto this morning signed a worsening," he said.

"There has not been synchronization of the movements of the hearth muscles, and no movement of one of segments of the muscles,"said Soebiandono.

In addition to, the production of urine decreased, the accumulation of liquid in lung rose, and some signals of bleeding in the urine, said Soebiandono.

"So the level of haemoglobin downs to 7.6 percent, which yesterday it reached to 8.4 percent," he added.

Soeharto had ruled Indonesia for 32 years before he was toppled by mass riot in May 21, 1998.

He faced numerous allegation of human rights violation and corruption during his rules, but in May 2006 prosecutors closed a criminal case against him due to his deteriorating health.

Soeharto has been frequently treated in the hospital in recent years for a stroke and intestinal bleeding, which make him could not be tried.
