Johnny Depp 'top moneymaking star of 2007'

BEIJING -- Hollywood star Johnny Depp has been named the "Top Moneymaking Star of 2007" in Quigley Publishing Co.'s 76th Annual Poll. It is the actor's second consecutive time in the No. 1 spot.

Depp starred in "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" in 2007.

For the first year in 24 years, a female actress was not included on the top 10 list.

Shia LaBeouf of "Transformers," "Disturbia" and "Surf's Up" fame, and "Juno's" Ellen Page were named the "Stars of Tomorrow for 2007."

The Quigley Poll has been conducted every year since 1932.

The top 10 stars: Johnny Depp; Will Smith -- "I Am Legend;" George Clooney -- "Michael Clayton" and "Ocean's Thirteen;" Matt Damon -- "The Bourne Ultimatum" and "Ocean's Thirteen;" Denzel Washington -- "The Great Debaters" and "American Gangster;" Russell Crowe -- "American Gangster" and "3:10 to Yuma;" Tom Cruise -- "Lions for Lambs;" Nicholas Cage -- "Ghost Rider" and "National Treasure: Book of Secrets;" Will Ferrell -- "Blades of Glory;" and Tom Hanks -- "Charlie Wilson's War."
