Former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan and other two Nobel Prize winners are expected to arrive Kuala Lumpur to attend the inaugural Khazanah Global Lectures (KGL), local media reported on Friday.

Kofi Annan, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001, will be speaking on international development with respect to Malaysia' s socio-economic growth and multi-racial society at the KGL on July 12.

The KGL is part of a program organized by Khazanah Nasional Bhd, the strategic investment arm of the Malaysian Government, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's dependence.

The KGL is aimed at fostering a culture towards knowledge- building and sharing.

The other two Nobel Prize winners will be Muhammad Yunus from Bangladesh and Joseph E. Stiglitz, former Chief Economist of the World Bank.
