New comet brightest in 30 years(space.com)Updated: 2007-01-11 17:13 A newfound comet has backyard skywatchers buzzing about its incredible brightness even though it is a challenge to spot. Comet McNaught, named for Australian astronomer Robert McNaught who found it last year, is about to circle the Sun. It sets right after the Sun, making it visible in the West [sky map] for only a few minutes in twilight.
