DHAKA - Two people were killed and 50 were injured when a passenger train jumped the tracks near Bangladesh's port city of Chittagong, transport officials said on Tuesday. Five rear coaches of the 20-compartment train ran off the tracks at Sitakunda 280 km (175 miles) southeast of the capital Dhaka on Monday at a few minutes to midnight.

The train was travelling to the capital from Chittagong with 500 passengers following Eid vacations.
