BAGHDAD, Iraq - A car bomb exploded in the parking lot of a government-run
newspaper in Iraq's capital Sunday, killing at least one person and injuring 30,
police said.
US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld landed in
Alaska on Saturday and was due to meet behind closed doors with the
families of soldiers' whose duty in Iraq was extended to counter a
dramatic rise in violence in Baghdad. In this photo Rumsfeld is seen after

At least 25 cars caught fire in the blast in the parking lot of the al-Sabah
newspaper, located in a Sunni-dominated neighborhood in northern Baghdad, said
police 1st Lt. Mohammad Khayoum.
The newspaper building was also badly damaged, he said.
Al-Sabah, or "The Morning," newspaper is part of the government-run Iraqi
Media Net group, which includes Iraqiya Television channel.
No other details were immediately available. Sunni Arab insurgents have
frequently targeted Iraqi government forces and facilities since the fall of
Saddam Hussein in 2003.
