A man who refused to take care of his elderly parents was detained for 15 days, Yangcheng Evening News reported on Friday. The man, surnamed Zhang, is a resident of Dapu county. Two ownerless Tibetan mastiffs were brought under control by more than 60 security staff before attacking four people in a residential community in Shijiazhuang, North China on Wednesday, Hebei Youth Daily reported. The police fired rifles to frighten the dogs while others beat the animals using sticks or spades.
