Pictures of an economically affordable house project in Qingdao, Shandong province have gone viral on the Internet as some windows were fake and painted on the wall. People joked that the windows were made by a magic brush.

A public hearing on whether local automobiles should be switched off when they need to park for more than three minutes was held in Beijing on Thursday, in which local residents, experts and government authorities discussed the move, the Beijing News reported. Two parks, in which the giant rubber duck was on display over one month received over 200 million yuan ($33 million) in tickets and other income. The giant rubber duck's appearance, the work of Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, was due to end on Oct 27 at the Summer Palace in Beijing. Wang Ming, of Henan province, provides free legal advice to people in a community in Beijing. Wang has helped community residents resolve many disputes and assisted migrant workers get their wages. Wang, who once worked as a security guard, passed the national judicial examination in September 2008 and became a lawyer. He has been dispensing free legal advice for five years as a volunteer in the community, Beijing Times reported.
