Volkswagen's booth at the China auto show will be packed with star models from seven household brands, including some debut appearances.

Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche and Skoda will all be on show at the Beijing event, which starts on April 20.

The line-up of 37 star models comes from Shanghai Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen and Volkswagen Group Import Cars.

Among them, five models making their first appearances will demonstrate Volkswagen's commitment to sustainable development.

The new Touareg will make its world debut. Its luxury look is expected to impress customers in terms of visual impact and driving enjoyment.

Shanghai Volkswagen will unveil a new concept car that offers an exciting look at the future of automotive design through its novel construction and sportiness.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Golf, Volkswagen will roll out a special model of the Golf R series and a 40th anniversary edition tailored by FAW-Volkswagen specifically for Chinese consumers.

The company's new SUV model series, T-ROC is also due to make its Asia debut at the auto show.

Volkswagen aims to provide feasible solutions for electric mobility to help the sustainable development of people, vehicles and the natural environment.

At the show, visitors will be able to get up-close to the group's two latest plug-in hybrid models.

One is the XL1, the most efficient production car with fuel consumption of 0.9/100 km, it can also drive for up to 50 kilometers in pure electric mode.

The other is the Golf GTE, a new member of the Volkswagen NEV family, which combines electric mobility and the dynamics of the GTI and can drive up to 50 km in all-electric mode and up to 939 km in hybrid mode.

Volkswagen electric up!, a pure electric four-seater car, tailored for commuters, has a top speed of 130 km/h and a maximum range of 160 km.
