JW's California in the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong offers a selection of mouthwatering lobster dishes until June 30. Executive sous chef Jordi Villegas has developed a special four-course set dinner and a la carte creations. Both menus feature a selection of Boston lobster, Australian rock lobster and Brittany blue lobster prepared thermidor, grilled with garlic and chili butter or French cocotte in a slightly spicy ragout.

Mr Bing's free jianbing

Mr Bing is celebrating the sale of its 50,000th jianbing by offering free servings of the Beijing (It originated in Tianjin) breakfast street food. The first 500 customers on July 3, 4 and 5 will receive a free jianbing from 8:30 am until 11 am. The brand also offers vegetarian versions of the wraps on Meatless Mondays.

New dining room

The Dining Room has opened a new branch in Langham Place with deputy executive chef Tony Huang and his team creating a few dishes to celebrate the launch. The menu includes Mandarin fish chips - grass carp fillets fried with red chilis and spring onions, then topped with smoked fish sauce; golden shrimp cakes made of shrimp, cabbage, spring onions and chives fried to produce a crispy bun; and shredded duck noodles with hot and sour soup - Shanghai noodles with shredded roast duck served with a broth of bean curd, black fungus, needle mushrooms and bamboo shoots.
