Over the past week President Xi Jinping has been visiting the Caribbean and Latin America before arriving in California. There has been much serious work done, but there has also been time to relax and enjoy the hospitality.
Visit to Trinidad and Tobago Top: President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan arrive in Trinidad and Tobago at the start of a seven-day visit to the Caribbean and Latin America on May 31. The following day Xi met the country's prime minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar. He also met the president, Anthony Carmona. The two countries signed agreements covering economy, trade and education. Visit to Mexico President Xi Jinping arrived in Mexico City on June 4 for a three-day visit to Mexico. Xi met Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. The two countries signed agreements covering energy, new-industry trade, infrastructure construction, mining, trade, education, banking and entrepreneurial exchanges.
