Joys and sorrows

Homegrown drama Wo Tou Hui Guan, performed by the Beijing People's Art Theater, will start a new round of performances at the Capital Theater, after being staged nearly 100 times since 2009. Five of the best actors and actresses in China star in the play: actors He Bing, Yang Lixin and Pu Cunxin and actresses Song Dandan and Xu Fan.

The drama takes place one year before the peaceful liberation of Beijing in a courtyard called "Wo Tou Hui Guan" in the south of Beijing. There, several Beijing locals experienced joys and sorrows, hope and desperation across three seasons - summer, autumn and winter.

Precious collection

The Museum of Art and History Geneva brings landscape paintings by Alexandre Perrier (1862-1936) to Shanghai. Perrier dedicated his entire life to the pictorial transposition of the Swiss landscape. Influenced by Neo-impressionism, he used a technique that deconstructed his strokes into small points and lines. In the second half of his career, Perrier's style evolved towards a freer method that dissociated color and drawing.

Romp with Stomp

This is your chance to find out what all the noise is about. After a five-year absence, Stomp '11 - Fresher, Faster, Funnier returns to Hong Kong for 16 performances, introducing a whole new audience to its infectious combination of comedy, rhythm, theater and dance. Ever since it premiered in 1991 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Stomp has wowed audiences by taking mundane objects from everyday life and transforming them into rousing musical instruments. This latest edition was inspired by its long-running Las Vegas counterpart; its whirling dance and acrobatics featuring paint cans and monster truck inner tubes will have you stomping your own feet for encores.
