"Red eyes" begin in August: Passengers flying between Taiwan and Shanghai will have "red-eye" flights to choose from starting early August, with the one-way ticket being several hundred yuan cheaper. Airlines taking part in the promotion include EVA Airways, China Airlines and Transasia Airways.

Non-stop Hangzhou routes: Xiamen Airline has opened two nonstop routes linking Hangzhou with Guiyang and Taiyuan.
